BACOLOD City – The City Health Office (CHO) is holding additional flu and pneumonia vaccination drives in other areas of this city.
On Friday, Jan. 5, CHO health education and promotion officer Jamaica Gail Isidto said about a thousand individuals, including those from other parts of Negros Occidental province, had availed of the free vaccination at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.
The CHO is set to hold another vaccination drive this Saturday, Jan. 6, in Lopues East and Gaisano City and Robinsons Place on Jan. 12 and 13, respectively.
Isidto said they have to hold multiple vaccination drives for the public to have better access, as well as for the CHO to utilize all the doses allocated by the Department of Health.
About 48,000 flu vaccines recently arrived in the city.
The health officer encouraged individuals aged 18 and above to be vaccinated against flu and senior citizens against pneumonia./PN
