ILOILO – A man was found dead in Barangay Malunang, Zarraga, Iloilo, early Friday morning, Feb. 16.
Romeo Maambong, 49, is a single father of two and a construction worker.
He was seen lying down on the creek with no signs of wounds or bruises.
Authorities suspect he was drunk when he accidentally lost balance while crossing the narrow bamboo bridge to get to their house.
Police Captain Raphy Seneres, station commander of the Zarraga police, told Panay News there were no signs of foul play.
Maambong’s family, on their part, said they do not want to have the incident further investigated./PN
