AKLAN – The lifeless body of a 14-year-old boy who drowned during a family outing in Barangay Dumatad, Tangalan, Aklan last Sunday was discovered early yesterday morning, March 12.
According to the Tangalan police, a member of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and a barangay kagawad found the victim’s body while searching the beach, approximately 200 meters away from where he was last seen.
The lad, a resident of Barangay Pagsanjan, Banga, Aklan, drowned on Sunday, March 10.
The family was reportedly having lunch when the victim, along with his cousin, went for a swim. However, strong waves carried him away into the deeper part of the sea./PN
