IPPO’s manhunt yields 299 wanted persons

ILOILO – In the crackdown on fugitives, the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has apprehended 299 wanted individuals so far this year.

Following sustained manhunt operations from January 1 to March 24, 2024, the IPPO collared 54 most wanted persons.

Among the recent service of arrest warrants was against the No. 10 most wanted person in Lemery town.

The fugitive is facing charges of frustrated homicide and attempted homicide. His warrants served on March 22 recommended bail at P72,000 and P30,000.

Expressing gratitude for the support of the local community, IPPO director Colonel Ronaldo Palomo affirmed the commitment of the police force to uphold the rule of law. He then reassured the public that the IPPO remains dedicated to providing closure to victims and their families affected by criminal activities.

“Tracking down and apprehending fugitives is never an easy task, but because of your tips, we were able to locate and apprehend more wanted persons. We will not stop until the remaining wanted persons are put behind bars and justice is served,” Palomo said./PN
