ILOILO – A fire completely destroyed a house in Barangay Potolan, Dingle, Iloilo, engulfing it in flames around 4:53 p.m. on April 4.
The house belonged to the Lagamon family.
According to Fire Officer Dick Peniero of the Dingle Bureau of Fire Protection, the blaze caused an estimated P210,000 in damages.
Peniero suggested that the fire likely originated in the kitchen and escalated to the first alarm level before being extinguished at approximately 5:18 p.m.
In addition to the house, the fire also consumed two motorcycles used for farming, a television set, a refrigerator, and other personal belongings of the family.
There were no injuries reported in the incident.
