PRO-6 collars 222 fugitives in weeklong ops

ILOILO – A total of 322 wanted persons were arrested by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in various operations across the region in a span of just one week.

From August 5 to 11, 199 operations led to the arrest of 33 individuals classified as most wanted persons (MWPs) and 189 tagged as other wanted persons (OWPs).

Here is the breakdown of arrested MWPs per unit: Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) – one, Antique PPO – five, Capiz PPO – two, Iloilo PPO – 13, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) – nine, Bacolod City Police Office (CPO) – two, and Iloilo CPO – one.

For OWPs, here is the breakdown of arrest: Aklan PPO – eight, Antique PPO – 22, Capiz PPO – eight, Guimaras PPO – one, Iloilo PPO – 28, NOCPPO – 92, Bacolod CPO – 13, Iloilo CPO – 10, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 – seven.

All suspects were under police custody and will be turned over to the respective courts of origin.

Brigadier General Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director, lauded the effort of all units in the campaign against wanted persons.

“These accomplishments are testament of your commitment towards your mandate.

Despite our gains, I urge you to stay focus on our campaign,” Wanky added./PN
