ILOILO City – A total of 35 wanted persons were apprehended by the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) in various police operations across the region from 6 a.m. on September 23 to 5:59 a.m. on September 25.
Of the number, 11 were classified as most wanted persons and 24 were tagged as other wanted persons.
Here is the breakdown of the arrest per unit:
* Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (PPO) – 15
* Iloilo PPO – five
* Antique PPO – four
* Capiz PPO – four
* Iloilo City Police Office – three
* Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 – two
* Guimaras PPO – one
* Bacolod City Police Office – one
Western Visayas top cop, Brigadier General Jack Wanky, attributed these arrests to the dedication of the police operatives and the unending support extended by the community.
“We are thankful to the community for the support in our effort against wanted persons and crime prevention programs. This result is a manifestation that we can accomplish more if we have the support of the community and other stakeholders,” he added.
All accused are now under police custody pending turnover to the concerned court of origin./PN
