ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) apprehended two of the city’s most wanted individuals in a late-night operation on September 24, in Barangay Boulevard, Molo district.
The suspects, identified only as “Jackie”, a 44-year-old tricycle driver, and “Nard”, a 34-year-old local resident, were arrested around 11 p.m. based on a murder warrant issued by Acting Presiding Judge Cyril Regalado of Regional Trial Court Branch 29.
Both suspects face charges of murder, with no bail recommended.
Currently detained at Iloilo City Police Station 4, the two are undergoing booking procedures before being transferred to court.
The operation was carried out by a joint effort of the ICPO Intelligence Unit, Iloilo City Police Station 4, the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
Police Colonel Kim Legada, ICPO director, commended the team for the successful operation and thanked the community for providing vital information leading to the arrests.
“We remain committed to tracking down criminal elements in Iloilo City,” he said.
The suspects are expected to face legal proceedings in the coming days./PN
