BACOLOD City – The anti-illegal drug operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized approximately 1,000 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million from two separate operations.
On Sunday night, October 13, officers of the BCPO’s City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) arrested alias “Biboy,” 37, in a buy-bust operation in Purok Hollowblocks, Barangay Singcang-Airport.
Tagged as a high-value drug suspect, Biboy yielded around 500 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P3.4 million.
Two more high-value targets, aliases “Beth,” 60, from Barangay 27, and “Pet,” 18, a pedicab driver from Barangay Tangub, were apprehended around 1:01 a.m. yesterday, October 14, in Purok Rose, Barangay 9.
Joint operatives of the CDEU and Police Station 2 recovered another 500 grams of suspected shabu valued at around P3.4 million.
All three suspects were detained. They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“Taos puso ho tayong nagpapasalamat sa patuloy na suporta ng kumunidad sa ating laban kontra sa ilegal na droga. Sigurado na mahuhuli po natin ang mga natitira pang imbolbado sa illegal na kalakalan sa tulong ng ating mga kababayan at iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno,” said Police Regional Office 6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky./PN
