ILOILO – A buy-bust operation conducted on Saturday, October 19, in Barangay Bolaqueña, Estancia town led to the arrest of a 30-year-old drug suspect and confiscation of nearly P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu.
Clark Tentia Delallaña, a resident of Barangay Tanza Baybay, City Proper district, was apprehended by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) after two weeks of surveillance. His live-in partner, Desirie Deleon, 27, was able to evade arrest and remained at large as of this writing.
PDEU chief Major Dadje Delima said the suspect agreed to sell a plastic sachet of suspected shabu worth P30,000 to an police poseur buyer. Recovered from his possession was a total of P1,496,000 worth of illegal drugs weighing around 220 grams.
The suspect was detained at the custodial facility of the Estancia Municipal Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
