ILOILO City – In anticipation of All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1) and All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2), the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has launched an extensive security operation to safeguard the public.
The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has announced that a significant force of 1,911 officers will be deployed across Western Visayas, with a particular focus on cemeteries, transportation hubs, and major ports where large gatherings are expected.
This year’s deployment strategy encompasses over 350 cemeteries across the region, with the Philippine National Police (PNP) coordinating closely with local government units, other law enforcement bodies, and various advocacy support groups to ensure a peaceful and orderly observance of the holidays.
The allocation of personnel is detailed as follows:
* Aklan Police Provincial Office – 230 officers
* Antique Police Provincial Office – 258 officers
* Capiz Police Provincial Office – 282 officers
* Guimaras Police Provincial Office – 70 officers
* Iloilo Police Provincial Office – 512 officers
* Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office – 301 officers
* Bacolod City Police Office – 166 officers
* Iloilo City Police Office – 92 officers
As part of the operation, PRO-6 will enhance police visibility in critical areas to prevent criminal activities and facilitate smooth traffic management.
Police forces are also prepared to handle any emergencies that might occur during the holiday period, according to the PRO-6.
