BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) is on full alert status until Saturday, November 2 (All Souls’ Day).
Colonel Joeresty Coronica, director of the BCPO, said in this city they considered Undas an extension of the celebration of the MassKara Festival.
“Since October 11, we have been on full alert status and it will be until November 2,” Coronica said.
This year’s MassKara Festival celebration kicked off on October 11, with its highlight on October 27. MassKara food kiosks at the Bacolod Public Plaza, meanwhile, were granted a four-day extension to operate until October 31.
Coronica added that deployment of police personnel for the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ days to all 14 public and private cemeteries in this city will commence tomorrow, October 31.
Prohibited items inside the cemeteries are deadly weapons and alcoholic drinks. Gambling is also not allowed, he said.
Meanwhile, the city government said selling of flowers at designated areas began yesterday until November 2.
