ANTIQUE – Three individuals were rushed to the hospital following a collision between a tricycle and a motorcycle in Barangay San Angel, San Jose town in this province, around 10:05 p.m. on Monday, November 11.
The tricycle driver identified as Reggie Española, 34, along with his backrider, Jemar Clataro, 27, both laborers from the town’s Barangay Funda-Dalipe, and motorcycle driver Warren Daya, 36, a fish vendor from Barangay New Gumawan, San Joaquin, Iloilo, were brought to Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital.
Initial investigation by the San Jose Municipal Police Station revealed that Española and Clataro were traveling from Barangay Maybato towards San Jose town proper when their tricycle was rear-ended by Daya’s speeding motorcycle.
The impact caused both drivers to be thrown off from their vehicles. Española and Clataro suffered multiple abrasions while Daya sustained injuries in the different parts of his body.
