BACOLOD City – Employees of the city government here will get additional bonuses this month, on top of the mandatory bonuses they have received earlier.
City Budget Officer Imelda Williams confirmed in an interview yesterday, December 6, at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) that the city will grant a Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive for fiscal year 2024.
Based on the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Budget Circular No. 2024-4 dated November 11, 2024, the CNA incentive shall not exceed P30,000 per qualified employee.
This incentive is a one-time benefit which shall be granted not earlier than December 15, 2024 but not later than December 31, 2024.
Williams meanwhile clarified that only regular and plantilla casual employees are entitled to receive the said incentive.
“Since CNA was not included in the annual budget of the local government, the city will utilize its maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE) savings for this,” she said.
The budget officer added that the Sangguniang Panlungsod should approved first the budget for the CNA before its release.
Additionally, Williams confirmed that qualified city government employees will receive P5,000 each representing their Performance Enhancement Incentive (PEI). The budget for this was included in the city’s annual budget./PN
