ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended 315 wanted individuals across Western Visayas during a 15-day operation from January 1 to 15.
According to PRO-6 records, 43 of the arrested individuals were facing charges for heinous crimes, while 272 were accused of lesser offenses.
The arrests were made with contributions from various police units in the region:
* Aklan Police Provincial Office – 10 arrests
* Antique Police Provincial Office – 20 arrests
* Capiz Police Provincial Office – 30 arrests
* Guimaras Police Provincial Office – five arrests
* Iloilo Police Provincial Office – 62 arrests
* Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office – 149 arrests
* Bacolod City Police Office – 19 arrests
* Iloilo City Police Office – 18 arrests
* Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 6 – two arrests
“These arrests are a manifestation of our relentless effort in pursuing the remaining wanted persons in the region,” said Brigadier General Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.
“We sincerely recognize the community’s support, which led to the location and arrest of these accused. Rest assured that your police in Western Visayas is carrying out various endeavors to make every community safe and secure,” he added.
All suspects have been turned over to the respective courts for proper disposition./PN
