ILOILO City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has called on beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Region 6 with pregnant members or children aged zero to two years old to update their household roster. Beneficiaries are encouraged to do so by visiting the official website iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph.
DSWD’S announcement follows the implementation of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) of Life conditional cash grant under the 4Ps, which provides an additional P350 per month to eligible households with pregnant women or children aged zero to two years old, on top of their existing health and Family Development Session (FDS) grants.
Mark Louis M. Babiarte, regional field coordinator of the National Household Targeting Section of DSWD Region 6, explained that the “i-registro” portal is a self-service platform designed to expedite the process of updating the information of pregnant women and children within 4Ps households. The platform is part of the preparation for the nationwide implementation of F1KD conditional cash grants in 2025.
“The i-registro is now being used to streamline the update of records for pregnant women and children aged zero to two years old in the 4Ps roster,” Babiarte told Panay News.
To register, beneficiaries need to visit the DSWD web portal and input their details.
Before using the platform, however, participants must be registered in the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).
The registration process requires the presentation of a valid ID, a prenatal booklet for pregnant women, and a birth certificate for children aged zero to two years old.
Babiarte assured the public that the platform is user-friendly, offering language options in English, Filipino, and Hiligaynon. For those without internet access or a mobile phone, assistance is available at the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO).
Registration began on December 6, 2024, and will end on February 28, 2025.
As of now, DSWD-6 has processed 225 transactions for F1KD updates.
Babiarte emphasized that by the end of February, all 4Ps beneficiaries with pregnant members or children aged zero to two must complete the update.
Updating the roster is critical, Babiarte explained, as it serves as the basis for the additional cash grant of P350 per month for eligible members.
“The F1KD grant aims to improve maternal and child health and nutrition during the first 1,000 days of life. This is an additional grant on top of the health grants provided under 4Ps,” said Babiarte.
The DSWD also released the guidelines for the implementation of the F1KD grant, which aims to improve the health-seeking behavior of 4Ps beneficiaries. Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao stressed that the program aligns with the Marcos administration’s goal to address hunger and improve nutrition for vulnerable Filipinos.
Under the guidelines, pregnant women and households with children aged zero to two years old are eligible for the Php350 monthly cash grant. The program’s conditionalities include accessing prenatal services at DOH-accredited health facilities, receiving antenatal care, delivering at a DOH-accredited facility, attending postnatal visits, and obtaining immunizations and micronutrient supplements.
For beneficiaries in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs), health workers will ensure that health and nutrition interventions are promptly provided, and those beneficiaries will still be deemed compliant with the conditions.
“Beneficiaries in these areas will be eligible to receive the F1KD cash grants,” Dumlao said.
The guidelines for the F1KD grant were officially issued on January 6, 2025, under DSWD’s Memorandum Circular No. 1, Series of 2025./PN
