AKLAN – A group assault in Barangay Puis, New Washington town here on Friday morning, April 25, left two teenage boys wounded.
The victims, aged 17 and 18, were reportedly walking when a group of unidentified individuals confronted and attacked them, resulting in a physical altercation.
Police said the 18-year-old, a resident of Libacao town, sustained a stab wound to the abdomen while the 17-year-old from Barangay Puis was stabbed in the upper back.
Residents nearby rushed the injured teens to the hospital after witnessing the commotion.
New Washington police were still investigating the motive behind the attack and working to identify those responsible.
They added that the incident may be linked to a previous conflict, prompting concerns over youth violence in the area, but details remain under verification./PN
