SAM Milby is taking steps to take care of his health by undergoing stem cell therapy to manage his diabetes.
Milby took to his Instagram page to share a photo of himself at a Pasay City-based hospital where he appeared to be preparing for a medical treatment.
“First time to try stem cell therapy to help improve my type 2 diabetes. Excited to share with you guys my journey,” he captioned his post.
In a separate post, the hospital shared a clip of Milby preparing for his treatment, where the actor-singer shared how being diagnosed with diabetes has been “rough” for him.
“For the first time, I’m going to do [a] stem cell [treatment] for reverse diabetes. I’ve been diagnosed for two years now, and sadly, this year has been a bit rough for me. Parang lumalalala habang tumatagal (It’s getting worse as the days go by),” he said.
Milby’s treatment earned the support of his followers in the comments, including actor Troy Montero and Reina Hispanoamericana 2021 third runner-up Emmanuelle Vera.

The “Saving Grace” star revealed that he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in June 2024. He shared that despite his parents and grandparents never having diabetes, he wished that he could’ve consulted with a doctor sooner.
“I’ve always thought of myself as a healthy person. I don’t have a sweet tooth. I rarely eat junk food. But last year, I found out that I have Type 2 diabetes. My parents and grandparents never had it. I just wish I got checked up earlier during the pre-diabetes stage. My advice — don’t ignore the symptoms (my main symptoms — always thirsty and urinating often) and get checked up regularly,” he said. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
