LOS ANGELES Clippers continue to strengthen their roster with the acquisition of John Collins through a three-team, four-player trade that also involved Miami Heat and Utah Jazz.

According to the trade agreement reported by Shams Charania of ESPN, the Clippers obtained Collins from the Jazz in exchange for Norman Powell and a 2027 second-round draft pick.

The Jazz promptly sent Powell to the Heat in return for veteran center Kevin Love and forward Kyle Anderson.

Following this trade, the Clippers’ frontline rotation has significantly improved with Collins joining Ivica Zubac and Brook Lopez, who was recently acquired in free agency.

Collins, who is 27 years old, posted impressive averages of 19.0 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Jazz last season.

The Heat’s offense also received a boost with the addition of Powell, who achieved a career-high average of 21.8 points per game, along with 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists for the Clippers last season.

Veteran players Love and Anderson will provide experience to the young roster of the Jazz, having only recently transferred to Miami from the Golden State Warriors in February.

Love averaged just 5.3 points per game for the Heat last season, while Anderson recorded 6.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.

Meanwhile, Indiana Pacers announced that veteran guard Tyrese Haliburton will miss the entire 2025-26 NBA Season due to an Achilles injury he sustained in Game 7 of the NBA Finals last month.

The Pacers have also re-signed former No. 2 overall pick center James Wiseman, who is expected to return to the court in the upcoming season after suffering a knee injury last year./PN
