GUIMARAS – Residents and visitors will soon have a faster and more convenient travel option between Manila and Guimaras.
During a courtesy visit to Gov. Ma. Lucille L. Nava on August 14 at the provincial capitol, Alabang Transit Service, Inc. said it is set to launch its direct bus service this month.
Company representatives Galberto Pandongan and Edwin Delgado also announced that the service will feature a new passenger terminal in Concordia Sur, Nueva Valencia.
The Manila-Guimaras route will begin operations on August 21, while the Guimaras-to-Manila route will start on August 23. Pick-up points in the province will be located in Jordan and Buenavista. Two buses will serve the route, with a travel time of less than 24 hours via a direct route to Manila.
Gov. Nava expressed the provincial government’s full support for the project, noting its potential to make travel easier for Guimarasnons and to boost local tourism and economic activity.
“This new service will not only provide comfort and convenience for our residents but also create more opportunities for visitors to explore the beauty of Guimaras,” the governor said./PN
