A LOVE triangle is brewing among Will Ashley, Bianca de Vera, and Dustin Yu, as they are set to join forces in the upcoming film “Love You So Bad.”
Ashley, de Vera, and Yu’s casting was announced by Star Cinema on its social media platforms on Thursday, August 21, showing photos of the lead stars in what seemed to be a story conference.
“Star Cinema, GMA Pictures, and Regal Entertainment unite for a cinematic event. Starring Will Ashley, Dustin Yu, and Bianca De Vera. Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar,” the post read.
Joining Alviar in leading the production is Crystal San Miguel, who is tapped to write the script.
According to Alviar and San Miguel, “Love You So Bad” is inspired by the hit film “Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita” starring the late Rico Yan, Claudine Barretto, and Diether Ocampo.
The 1998 film tells the story of the campus baddie Mela (Barretto) who is in a relationship with Ryan (Ocampo), but they break up because the latter was unfaithful to her. She soon falls in love with the campus president Miguel (Yan).
Details of the film’s premiere date, cast, and storyline are yet to be announced.
“Love You So Bad” marks the second time Ashley and de Vera will work together after the 2023 drama “Unbreak My Heart.” It is also the reunion project of Ashley and Yu following the Kapuso drama “Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters.”
