ILOILO City – A 17-year-old student tagged as high-value target was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Ajuy, Iloilo, around 12:24 a.m. on September 30.
The suspect identified as alias “Kiel”, a resident of the said town, yielded around 80 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P544,000.
Joint operatives of the Ajuy Municipal Police Station (MPS) and the Iloilo Police Provincial Police Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit also confiscated boodle money and non-drug-related items.
Ajuy police said the suspect was under surveillance for three months before the operation.
The suspect was brought to Ajuy MPS and later turned over to Ajuy Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office. The appropriate filing of charges was being processed in accordance with existing laws and protocols for children in conflict with the law (CICL)./PN
