Former Ilocos Sur governor Chavit Singson debunked rumors that he has a “special relationship” with actress Jillian Ward.
“Marites lang ‘yan, Marites lang. Naririnig ko nga ‘yan. Marami ngang nali-link sa akin. Pero puro Marites ‘yan,” he told select members of the press including Bandera.
(That’s just gossip, pure gossip. I’ve heard about that. Many people have been linked to me, but those are all just rumors.)
Speculations began after blind items surfaced online hinting at a supposed “special relationship” between Singson and Ward. Some netizens believe the rumors, claiming the two have grown “close.”
Meanwhile, when asked if it was true that he once had a relationship with actress Yen Santos, Singson neither confirmed nor denied it.
The 84-year-old replied, “Next question,” followed by a playful laugh, asking the media not to ask further about women romantically linked to him.
The former politician, however, reiterated that the rumors claiming he has a child with Santos are false, something he had already denied earlier in a vlog appearance on the actress’ YouTube channel.
Singson then revealed that he is indeed looking for a romantic partner, someone who will take care of him.
“Talagang naghahanap ako ngayon ng pwedeng mapakasalan para may mag-aalaga naman sa akin. Para sa pagbibiyahe-biyahe ko, may makasama ako. Kahit na sino, basta maganda ang puso,” he said.
