BACOLOD City – The Commission on Elections (Comelec)–Bacolod announced that voter registration will resume today, October 20, following the last registration period held on August 10, 2025.
City election officer Atty. Kathrina Trinio-Caña said that under Comelec Resolution No. 11177, the voter registration will run until May 18, 2026.
Registration will be conducted from Monday to Saturday, including holidays, except on days specified in the resolution. The registration hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Comelec office located at the Bacolod BAYS Center, San Juan Street.
The registration services will cover new registration, transfer of registration records, correction of entries, change of civil status, transfer from overseas to local registration, reactivation, and updating of records for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Applicants aged 15 to 20 years old are required to bring the original and a photocopy of a valid government-issued ID showing their address in the barangay where they reside. They may also present a student ID valid for School Year 2025–2026, along with a Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) birth certificate or baptismal certificate.
For applicants 21 years old and above, only a valid government-issued ID is required, both original and photocopy.
Trinio-Caña also reminded registrants to observe proper attire during the registration process. “Sando, spaghetti straps, tube tops, and similar clothing are not allowed,” she said.
The election officer encouraged the public to register early and avoid the rush as the registration deadline approaches./PN
