Barber yields over P400K worth of ‘shabu’

CAPIZ – Police seized more than P400,000 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Ivisan town.

Joint operatives of the Capiz Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PPDEU) and the Ivisan Municipal Police Station (MPS) arrested a 50-year-old barber identified as alias “Norly”, single, and a resident of the said barangay, after he sold suspected shabu worth P6,600 to a poseur buyer, on October 22.

Ivisan police said the suspect was classified as a high-value target. He yielded 14 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 60 grams and valued at around P408,000.

The suspect was detained at the Ivisan MPS for the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
