AKLAN – The Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) has assured the public of its full preparedness for the observance of Undas 2025 on November 1 and 2, when thousands are expected to visit cemeteries and places of worship across the province.
In an interview, PSsg. Crisel Catunao, Public Information Officer of the Aklan PPO, said police personnel will be deployed not only in cemeteries but also in churches, terminals, and other crowded areas to ensure public safety and order.
The deployment will be supported by force multipliers in coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs), and other partner agencies.
Authorities have reminded the public that bringing weapons, sharp objects such as knives, and alcoholic beverages into cemeteries is strictly prohibited. Visitors are also urged to refrain from gambling and playing loud music or karaoke near gravesites to maintain solemnity and order.
Police further advised residents to avoid posting real-time updates about their activities or empty homes on social media to prevent potential theft or burglary.
Police Assistance Desks will be set up outside cemeteries, churches, and terminals to respond to public inquiries and emergencies.
The Aklan PPO also called on the community to cooperate with law enforcement authorities to ensure a safe and peaceful observance of Undas 2025 throughout the province./PN
