FORMER “Eat Bulaga” host Anjo Yllana dropped explosive accusations against Sen. Tito Sotto, whom he claims has a longtime mistress, and alleged that a “syndicate” has been operating within the noontime show.
Without revealing what prompted him, Yllana recently went on a series of TikTok livestreams where he aired his grievances against his former colleagues from “Eat Bulaga” and his experiences on the show.
In his Nov. 3 livestream, Yllana threatened to expose Sotto’s alleged mistress if the senator’s supporters continued to attack him online.
“Tito Sen, ang dami mo na namang pinalabas ‘yung mga bayaran mo na vloggers. Gusto mo talaga ng laglagan? Gusto mo i-reveal ko na mula 2013 kung sino po ‘yung kabit niyo, Tito Sen?” he said.
Sotto has not made an official statement on the matter. The actor-host-politician is married to veteran actress Helen Gamboa, who is also aunt to Sharon Cuneta.
In a livestream the day before, Yllana questioned Sotto’s 2022 campaign pledge to donate his Senate salary to students, urging the lawmaker to present proof.
“Kayo po ang nangako na ‘yung suweldo n’yo ibibigay n’yo sa mga mahihirap na nag-aaral na mga kababayan, kaya siguro maglabas na lang kayo ng resibo,” said Yllana.
In a separate livestream, Yllana alleged questionable activities within “Eat Bulaga” and accused the show of operating like a “syndicate.”
“May sindikato d’yan sa Eat Bulaga, masasama ang mga tao d’yan. Mga traydor d’yan sa loob, maraming binenta d’yan sa loob,” the former host alleged.
Yllana also brought up the late “Eat Bulaga” director Bert de Leon, claiming he was “betrayed” by people from within the program before his death.
“Si Direk Bert de Leon mula 1979 ay direktor ng ‘Eat Bulaga’. Bago mamatay, umiiyak sa akin kasi pinagsasaksak siya sa likod, siniraan siya para matanggal siya bilang director,” Yllana said.
“Ewan ko kung alam ng boss. Ako kasi tahimik lang ako. Baka ‘pag kinwento ko ‘yung mga kalokohan dyan sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ e magsara ‘yang istasyon,” he further said.
Yllana was a longtime host of “Eat Bulaga” before he announced his departure in 2020, citing financial and logistical difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the time, Yllana denied any conflict with the show’s management or main hosts, saying he left on good terms.
Despite this, he expressed his desire to return to the show as host, but in an interview with Ogie Diaz in April 2024, he said that he is no longer expecting this to happen due to a policy among its executives that those who have resigned from the show will no longer be allowed to come back.
