ILOILO — The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) successfully apprehended Region 6’s third most wanted individual in Dumangas on December 5.
The accused, identified as alias “Bebong,” 34, a construction worker and resident of Brgy. Tabucan, Dumangas, Iloilo, faces charges of Qualified Rape of a Minor under Article 266-A, paragraph 1, in relation to Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code (RPC) as amended, and Rape by Sexual Assault under Article 266-A (2) in relation to Section 5(B) of RA 7610. He was also previously listed as the second most wanted at the municipal level and sixth at the provincial level.
The arrest was carried out around 8:32 a.m. by the Tracker Team of Dumangas Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the IPPO Provincial Intelligence Unit, the IPPO Provincial Special Operations Group, and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company. The operation was conducted under a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 6, Dumangas, Iloilo, on December 2, 2025. No bail was recommended for the Qualified Rape of a Minor case, while a bail of Php180,000 was set for the Rape by Sexual Assault charge.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Dumangas MPS pending proper disposition of his case.
