MANILA — Determined to accelerate its climb back into contention, Capital1 Solar Spikers opened the 2026 Premier Volleyball League offseason with a clear statement of intent, unveiling a four-player recruitment class designed to immediately address scoring, stability, and floor defense.
At the center of that early reset is Ilongga wing spiker Shaya Adorador, who headlines Capital1’s newest additions alongside veteran setter Jasmine Nabor, middle blocker Ezra Madrigal, and libero Rachel Jorvina.
Adorador, formerly of the disbanded Chery Tiggo Crossovers, is widely viewed as the key piece of Capital1’s rebuild, expected to bring offensive consistency and versatility as she joins a young core that includes Mhicaela Belen and Leila Cruz. Known for her ability to score from both pins and adjust to varying offensive systems, Adorador gives the Solar Spikers an immediate attacking option they lacked in previous conferences.
Veteran playmaker Jasmine Nabor is also projected to play a pivotal role, tasked with stabilizing an offense that has struggled with rhythm and execution. Her experience at setter provides Capital1 with a steady presence capable of maximizing its newly upgraded lineup.
Capital1 further reinforced the middle with the acquisition of Ezra Madrigal, the former FEU standout who adds height, timing, and composure at the net. Madrigal strengthens a frontcourt rotation that already features KC Galdones, Pia Abbu, and Rachel Austero.
Completing the offseason haul is libero Rachel Jorvina, whose arrival addresses a long-standing need in serve reception and backcourt coverage. With previous stints at Akari and the Nxled Chameleons, Jorvina brings reliability and defensive awareness as the Solar Spikers look to tighten their floor defense.
With Adorador anchoring a group of targeted additions, Capital1 heads into the 2026 All-Filipino Conference with improved balance and depth, signaling a more deliberate push toward playoff relevance./PN
