BARBIE Imperial will bring an additional layer of excitement in the upcoming action drama of Richard Gutierrez and Gerald Anderson, set to premiere on an undisclosed date.
Imperial was confirmed as the yet-untitled project’s newest cast member on JRB Creative Productions’ social media platforms on Saturday, January 17.
“BARBIE IMPERIAL JOINS THE CAST OF #GutierrezPadillaAnderson!” the post read.
The announcement was congratulated by Imperial’s followers in the comments section, including Richard’s sister and fellow actress Ruffa Gutierrez.
The actress’ recent projects include “Sins of the Father” and a guest appearance on “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” as well as the films “3 Days And 2 Nights In Poblacion” and “How To Slay A Nepo Baby.”
Gutierrez and Anderson’s action drama was announced as one of ABS-CBN’s much-awaited offerings for 2026. Both actors have kept their lips sealed on the show’s title, storyline, and additional cast members, although they have expressed their excitement of wanting to work with each other.
Bela Padilla was confirmed to join the upcoming project earlier this month.
“Physically, I’ve been training for the show. Dahil nga action-drama ito, medyo mapapasabak tayo sa action. I’ve started taking Muay Thai lessons again. I’m learning stunts from Erwin Tagle. Emotionally, I would say I’m always ready,” Padilla said in an ABS-CBN interview.
She added: “First time to work with Gerald Anderson; with Richard, worked with him a long time ago. He’s such a pleasant person to work with. I’m so excited how we’re all going to balance each other out.”
It is also known that Imperial and Gutierrez have long been hounded with dating rumors and have been spotted together on multiple occasions. However, neither of them have confirmed nor denied their relationship status, as of this writing. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
