ILOILO City – Police operatives seized more than 140 grams of suspected shabu valued at P952,000 and arrested two high-value drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Zone 5, Barangay San Isidro, Jaro district on January 27.
The suspects were identified as aliases “Bert,” 27, and “Kap,” 44, both residents of Jaro.
The operation resulted in the recovery of nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, buy-bust money, and several non-drug-related items.
The successful operation was carried out at around 4:10 p.m. by personnel of the City Drug Enforcement Unit, in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Unit 6 and the Station Drug Enforcement Team of Iloilo City Police Station 3.
The suspects are currently detained at Iloilo City Police Station 3 and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 (sale), 11 (possession), and 26 (conspiracy) of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
