ANTIQUE — In a major blow to the local illegal drug trade, authorities arrested three high-value suspects and confiscated approximately P1.95 million worth of suspected shabu in two separate operations in Barangay Funda Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista town.
The most recent operation took place on Tuesday, February 3, at around 1:02 a.m. Apprehended were aliases “Christian,” 41, and “Ella,” 22. The duo is believed to be key players in the local drug distribution network.
Joint operatives of the San Jose Municipal Police Station, the Antique Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Antique recovered a total of 180 grams of suspected shabu and P20,000 in buy-bust money.
Prior to this, alias “Boy,” 46, was also arrested on January 28. Seized from his possession were five plastic sachets of alleged shabu approximately weighing 80 grams, P20,500 in buy-bust money, and a motorcycle allegedly used in his illegal activities.
