BACOLOD City — The Police Regional Office – Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) has launched a five-day transformational leadership seminar in Negros Oriental, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening leadership capability and service excellence across the region.
The seminar formally opened on February 16, at Maringal Hall of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office in Barangay Aga-an, Sibulan. The activity runs for five days as part of the organization’s continuing professional development program.
Designed to cultivate transformational and values-driven leaders within the police force, the seminar focuses on enhancing decision-making skills, accountability, communication, and strategic leadership competencies to better equip officers for the evolving demands of law enforcement.
Organized by the Regional Special Training Unit (RSTU), the seminar brings together 30 police personnel — 24 from the Sibulan Municipal Police Station and six from the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Section — who are participating in a series of leadership-focused sessions and workshops.
The opening ceremony was attended by local police and municipal officials, as well as officers from the regional office.
PRO-NIR said the initiative reflects its continuing efforts to enhance organizational effectiveness and build a corps of competent, disciplined, and service-oriented officers capable of delivering responsive, accountable, and community-focused police services throughout the Negros Island Region./PN
