
ANTIQUE — The Provincial Government of Antique has begun releasing travel allowances to uniformed personnel who provided round-the-clock security during the Binirayan Festival 2025.
Each personnel received P3,000, bringing the total disbursement to P1,158,000.
The beneficiaries include members of the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit, Antique MARPTSA, 63rd Special Action Company of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force, Bureau of Fire Protection, 61st Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, Antique Airport Police Station, traffic enforcers, and other security forces.
The distribution was conducted on February 24, at the Antique Provincial Police Office (APPO).
Provincial officials said the release of the travel allowance aims to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of uniformed personnel who ensured peace and order throughout the festival celebration.
Binirayan Festival is Antique’s annual commemoration of the historic landing of the 10 Bornean datus and is one of the province’s major cultural events, drawing thousands of visitors each year./PN
