HOTEL101 Global Holdings Corp. announced that its 680-room Hotel101-Madrid achieved a company record of more than €100,000 (approximately P7.18 million) in recurring room revenues in a single day on May 19, 2026, hitting 100% occupancy.
The company believes this milestone underscores accelerating momentum and exceptionally strong demand for Hotel101-Madrid—the first Hotel101-branded property to operate outside the Philippines—which officially opened in March 2026. This single-day performance validates the property’s potential to generate substantial recurring revenue annually. It also serves as a proof of concept for the company’s asset-light, prop-tech hospitality model, which focuses on long-term recurring revenue generation across its global portfolio.

The record performance comes as Hotel101-Madrid serves as an “official hotel” partner for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix from 2026 to 2035, through an exclusive agreement with MATCH Hospitality Europe.
Ranked as one of the top five largest hotels in Madrid, the property sits on a prime 6,593-square-meter site in Valdebebas. It is strategically positioned adjacent to the new Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix circuit, directly overlooking the iconic semicircular Turn 12, titled “La Monumental.”
The hotel offers excellent accessibility, located just three minutes from the Valdebebas Train Station, four minutes from the IFEMA convention complex, five minutes from the Real Madrid Sports Complex, and seven minutes from the Madrid-Barajas International Airport
Modern amenities and global expansion
Hotel101-Madrid features modern amenities, including the all-day dining restaurant HBNB Kitchen by the award-winning La Sucursal, two swimming pools, a fitness center, a children’s playground, 24/7 reception, a business center, and function rooms. Guests can also use a proprietary app for a seamless digital experience, from check-in to room key access.
As the global prototype for Hotel101 Global, the Madrid property functions as the primary springboard for the company’s international expansion. This prototype supports the company’s ultimate vision: developing one million standardized rooms across 100 countries to become the world’s largest single-brand hotel chain.
Since March this year, Hotel101 Global has started to generate recurring revenues from hotel operations in Hotel101-Madrid. Following the Madrid opening, the company expects to begin generating revenue in Japanese Yen with the launch of the 482-room Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, set to open in December this year.
DoubleDragon is set to achieve its highest number of room openings in a single year, with 2,229 additional rooms becoming operational this year. This includes the 680 rooms in Madrid, 482 rooms in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan, of 519 rooms in Davao, and 548 rooms in Cebu.
Meanwhile, the company’s existing Philippine properties — the 518-room Hotel101-Manila and the 606-room Hotel101-Fort — continue to operate at consistently high occupancy levels.
The year 2026 marks a major inflection point for DoubleDragon as it begins generating a high volume of recurring revenues from its diversified portfolio of provincial community malls, industrial warehouses, office leasing, and expanding hospitality footprint both in the Philippines and overseas./PN
