Capiz gov’t readies for PBBM’s Handog ng Pangulo Program

CAPIZ — The Capiz provincial government is stepping up preparations for the simultaneous nationwide launch of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Tapat Para sa Lahat” program on September 14.

Governor Fredenil H. Castro led the provincial government in coordinating preparations for the activity during a high-level meeting held September 9 at the Hall of Governors of the Provincial Capitol.

The meeting focused on ensuring a smooth and well-organized implementation of the program in Capiz, including the coordination of participating national government agencies and provincial offices and the designation of their respective roles.

Atty. Luvim D. Amores, provincial information officer and concurrent Provincial Human Resource Management Office head, led the coordination meeting as the designated focal person for the program’s implementation in Capiz.

Capiz has been selected as one of the key sites for the nationwide simultaneous launch, with the main activities to be held at Robinsons Roxas in Pueblo de Panay, Roxas City.

Participating government agencies are expected to establish frontline service desks where Capiceños can access various government services and assistance.

Among the participating agencies are PhilHealth, Philippine Statistics Authority, Pag-IBIG Fund, Social Security System, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.

The activity will also feature free legal assistance and multi-specialty medical and dental missions.

Agricultural services will include the distribution and sale of subsidized rice at P20 per kilo, which will be made available in front of the Provincial Capitol.

The provincial government said the initiative is envisioned as a convergence of government agencies aimed at bringing essential public services closer to Capiceños in an efficient and coordinated manner./PN
