BACOLOD City — Two men were arrested after they were allegedly caught stealing from a telecommunications cell site in Purok Pasayan, Barangay Tabigue, E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental early Friday morning, September 11.
The suspects were identified by the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station (MPS) only through their aliases as “Carlos,” 21, and “Elias,” 40, both residents of Bacolod City.
Police said the two were arrested at around 4:30 a.m. after they allegedly entered the cell site compound by cutting the barbed wire installed above the perimeter wall.
According to police, CCTV footage showed the suspects entering the compound.
They were allegedly caught inside the premises in possession of a wrench and a two-meter-long cable wire valued at approximately P1,500.
The suspects remained under the custody of the E.B. Magalona MPS pending the filing of appropriate charges.
Police said the two would be subjected to proper disposition in connection with the alleged theft/PN.
