CAPIZ – A suspected drug den operating in Barangay Tanque, Roxas City was dismantled yesterday morning, September 15, leading to the arrest of three individuals.
Authorities identified the suspects as alias “Wyn,” 56, who was previously arrested on drug-related charges five years ago; alias “Jay,” 41, a resident of Pontevedra town; and alias “Vin,” 25, a resident of Iloilo City.
The joint operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yielded 11 plastic sachets of suspected shabu along with the P500 marked buy-bust money used by the undercover agent.
All three suspects were brought to the PDEA Regional Office 6 custodial facility to undergo mandatory drug testing.
As of press time, charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, were being prepared against the suspects.
Meanwhile, the suspects admitted to using illegal drugs but denied pushing or selling shabu./PN
