ILOILO – A 30-year-old man from Sitio Libot, Barangay Buga, Leon town had been shot using a 12-gauge shotgun.
Raymundo Caisio was walking home from a wake when attacked around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.
“He claimed the suspects hid behind banana plants,” Senior Police Officer 1 Jaime Alfor, case investigator, told Panay News.
Alfor said the victim could not identify the suspects but might recognize them if he sees their faces.
Caisio was hit on the left leg and waist.
“He fell down after he was shot,” Alfor said of the victim. “The suspects approached and shot him again but missed.”
That was when Caisio found a chance to run away. The suspects fled, too.
From what the police have gathered, Caisio allegedly steals things, and his attackers may have been his victims getting back at him.
Alfor said they were still investigating the incident.
Caisio was taken to the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, for the treatment of his gunshot wounds./PN
