MANILA – Alyssa Valdez and Michelle Gumabao will spearhead theirrespective squads in the Shakey’s V-League Season 13 All-Star Gametoday at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.
Aside from Valdez, also in the Team 1-Light Uniform are DenniseLazaro, Mary Remy Palma, WennethEulalio, JocemarTapic, JessicaGalanza, Angelique Gervacio, Ennajie Laure, Elaine Kasilag, NicoleTiamzon, FenelaEmnas, and Wendy Semana.
Meanwhile, part of Team 2-Dark Uniform with Gumabao are MelissaGohing, Amy Ahomiro, Marianne Buitre, MarivicMeneses, Toni RoseBasas, Diana Carlos, Isabel Molde, Myla Pablo, Cherry Rondina, JuliaMorado, and GyzelleSy.
Coaching Team 1 are Jasper Jimenez, Sherwin Menesesand Nestor Pamillar while Team 2 is to be handled bythe trio of Rommel Abella, Emilio Reyes and Jerry Yee.
Aside from the V-League All-Star Game which is set at 5:15 p.m., theSpiker’s Turf will also have its own exhibition match at 3 p.m. aftera meet-and-greet session at 1:30 p.m.
Team 1 is composed of Mark Alfafara, Jessie Lopez,Louie Chavez, Reyson Fuentes, Jeffrey Malabanan, Ismail Fauzi, BryanBagunas, Edward Ybanez, Vince Mangulabnan, Berlin Paglinawan, PatrickRojas, and Kheeno Franco.
While Team 2 will be led by Mark Espejo, IshPolvorosa, RexIntal, RaymarkWoo, Geuel Asia, YsayMarasigan, Peter Torres, HowardMojica, Rodolfo Labrador, Greg Dolor, Alfred Valbuena, and Jason Uy.
Sports Vision president Ricky Palou said the one-day occasionis not only a gathering of the stars but is also a fund-raising event forthe victims of typhoon “Lawin”, which hit the northern parts of Luzon lastmonth.
“It’s time not just to give back to the fans for their continuedsupport to the league but we also want to help our fellow Filipinoswho suffered from the wrath of super typhoon ‘Lawin’,” said Palou./PN
