ILOILO City – More than 100,000 Social Security System (SSS) pensioners in Western Visayas will benefit from the proposed increase of P2,000 across-the-board pension.
According to Raul Casiano, officer-in-charge of Western Visayas 2 Division, the legislator proposed the P2000 increase in pension from the start and the SSS is always present in the committee of the Congress to talk about the pros and cons of the proposed increase in pension.
If implemented, the first P1,000 increase will be in January 2017 and the other P1,000 across-the-board pension will be on 2022.
“Let us wait na lang kon ano ang mangin final outcome kay sa committee pa lang to and it has yet to be discussed sa plenary kag tan-awon ta kon ano ang mangin resulta. Kami sa SSS, kon ano ang mangin desisyon dira, we will simply implement,” said Casiano.
The average monthly pension of tan SSS retiree reaches P3,229, while the lowest is P1,000 and the highest is P17, 481./PN
