ILOILO City – A decomposing body of an unidentified woman was found in an abandoned building in Barangay Poblacion, Lambunao, Iloilo.
The cadaver was traced around 12 noon on Sunday by residents upset of the rotten smell pervading their neighborhood.
“We found no physical injuries on the cadaver. Perhaps she died of natural causes,” said Chief Inspector Dennis Pamunag, Lambunao police chief.
No one knew of the woman’s identity. The police said she was mentally ill and no one minded her.
As of this writing, no one had showed up at the police station to identify the woman.
Thursday last week, a mentally ill man was found dead under a bridge in Barangay Pani-an, Estancia, Iloilo.
Reynaldo Acosalin, 40, was a resident of Barangay Hinactcan, Estancia. Police believed he jumped to his death./PN
