ROXAS City – Two alleged illegal drug peddlers were arrested in this city.
Operatives from the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) teams Alpha and Bravo caught Anthony Asiatico of Barangay Tanque.
For 500, Asiatico, a 30-year-old arroz caldo (rice porridge) vendor, sold a plastic pack of suspected shabu to an undercover police officer around 9 p.m. on Dec. 8 on Legaspi Street, Barangay 3.
Police claimed Asiatico was using his business as cover for the illegal activity.
Three more plastic packs of suspected shabu were seized from him.
Around 6 p.m. on the same day, the 50-year-old Jemelie Valencia was arrested in another sting operation in Sitio Railway, Barangay 9.
Operatives from PAIDSOTG Team Bravo and City AIDSOTG seized from Valencia six plastic packs of suspected shabu and several drug paraphernalia.
Both suspects were detained in the city police station lockup cell./PN
