SAN JOSE, Antique – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) challenges the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) here to go into investment missions to meet potential investors and likewise promote the local industry.
DTI officer-in-charge Rebecca Rascon said trade fairs are good venues for the entrepreneurs to promote their products and create connections.
“Trade fair is one good chance to which we promote our products,” Rascon told local entrepreneurs.
She also encouraged them to improve the packaging of their products and be open to new ideas.
“[The] investment mission will pave the way to attracting potential investors but be prepared on what you want to sell, and be prepared with smart answers to their questions to give the investors and other observers a picture as well as other opportunities that await them when they visit your province,” she said.
She cited the province’s high-value crops such as cacao, coffee and other forest products such as bamboo, rattan, nito, abaca and precious stones, among others, which can bring impact to Antique’s name if these resources are properly developed.
“Product development should continue, dialogue with target stakeholders, and be competitive by conducting investment mission,” Rascon said. (PIA/PN)
