ROXAS City – Police promised to make Capiz province “drug-cleared” within the first three months of the year.
Ongoing drug-clearing operations in the towns and this capital city aim to make Capiz “drug-cleared” by end of March, according to Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion, provincial police director.
Nacion said lack of funds in the barangays caused some drug-clearing operations in the last few months of 2016 to hit a snag.
Help and support from the community will help the Capiz Police Provincial Office achieve their drug-clearing aim, he stressed.
Currently only Mambusao and Dao town were declared “drug-cleared.”
Nacion vowed to continuously step up their antidrug campaign as long as there are still people engaged in the illicit trade. (PIA/PN)
