BACOLOD City – Senior Superintendent Flynn Dongbo was reassigned to the Regional Personnel Housing Accounting Unit (RPHAU) of the Police Regional Office 18 (PRO-18).
Senior Superintendent Jack Wangky replaced him as officer-in-charge of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) effective yesterday.
Wangky already paid a courtesy call to Mayor Evelio Leonardia on Wednesday, said Executive Assistant Celestino Guara.
Wangky belonged to the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 1992 and was once the chief of the PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit, said Guara, a retired police senior superintendent.
Wangky and Dongbo’s reassignments were contained in Special Order Nos. 037 and 036, respectively, dated Jan. 19 and signed by Superintendent Roy Abella, acting chief of the PRO-18 Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division.
But aside from Dongbo, six police noncommissioned officers were relieved from their respective posts and reassigned to the RPHAU.
Senior Police Officers 1 Noel Capablanca and May Lumawag, and Police Officers 3 Rey Villanueva, Tony Hechanova, Gilbert Alunan, and Richard Daniela were allegedly tagged by Negros Island Region top drug suspect Ricky Serenio to the drug trade.
Daniela was with the PRO-18 Regional Intelligence Division, while the other five were from the BCPO.
Their alleged involvement in the drug trade was under validation, said Chief Inspector Dianne Grace Catedral, PRO-18 spokesperson.
If proven to be engaged in the drug trade, they will be slapped with administrative charges and again reassigned to other regions, Catedral stressed./PN
