BACOLOD City – A 41-year-old man allegedly sowed panic among residents of Barangay Cartagena, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
Police arrested Felipe Ubas of the village’s Purok Kakahuyan.
Ubas would indiscriminately discharge his 12-gauge shotgun every time he gets drunk, Chief Inspector Romeo Vargas, officer-in-charge of the Sipalay City police station, said, citing Barangay Captain Rome Vargas.
Police arrested Ubas and confiscated his improvised shotgun.
The man was detained in the police station’s custodial facility on the evening of Feb. 1 and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
