BACOLOD City – Separate drowning incidents killed two minors in Sagay City and Valladolid town in Negros Occidental on Thursday.

In Sagay City, 4-year-old Edwin Aligado of Barangay Old Sagay drowned after jumping into the sea along with other minors from a pump boat.

But Aligado’s mother believed her son was intentionally drowned. She requested an autopsy.

In Valladolid, an 11-year-old Grade 5 pupil also drowned after going swimming with his classmates.

Gabriel Inson of Barangay Poblacion, Valladolid went to his classmate’s house in Barangay Sagua Banwa and then went swimming at the sea.

His lifeless body was recovered in the coastal area of the barangay around 12:30 p.m., police said./PN
