ILOILO – The police station of the municipality of Ajuy topped the 2017 first quarter evaluation of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO).
The province’s 42 municipal police stations and one from the component city of Pass were evaluated.
Led by Chief Inspector Charlie Sustento, the Ajuy police station also emerged as the “best in law enforcement operation” against loose firearms from January to March this year.
According to Sustento, his men seized 105 firearms in the three-month period.
Second to Ajuy in the performance evaluation was the Passi City police station under Superintendent Ruby Gumban, followed by the Oton police station led by Senior Inspector Rey Pabalan.
The New Lucena police station was declared “best in administration” and its runners up were the police stations of Dumangas and Lambunao.
“Best in operation” were the police stations of Passi City, Oton and Ajuy.
Oton police station also posted the most number of arrests in the campaign against illegal drugs and wanted persons.
On the other hand, the police station of Banate carried out the most number of operations against illegal gambling.
“I call on other police stations to work harder. Intensify your operations against most wanted persons, loose firearms, illegal gambling and illegal drugs,” said Senior Superintendent Harold Tuzon, IPPO director./PN
