AKLAN – The provincial government of Aklan has released P24.1 million for its 4,799 scholars enrolled in 13 partner institutions for the second semester of School Year 2023-2024.
Here is the breakdown of the scholarship grants under the Provincial Government College Scholarship Program (PGCSP):
* Aklan Catholic College – P1,490,000
* Aklan Polytechnic Institute, Inc. – P753,288.58
* Altavas College – P767,544
* Aklan State University (ASU) Banga – P5,534,000
* ASU Ibajay – P2,673,000
* ASU Kalibo – P3,148,000
* ASU Makato – P935,000
* ASU New Washington – P2,166,000
* Balete Community College – P660,000
* Batan Integrated College of Technology – P181,825
* Garcia College of Technology – P2,492,148.88
* Northwestern Visayan Colleges – P3,099,907.95
* STI Education Services Group, Inc. – P277,947
The provincial government is also expecting more new scholars following the qualifying examination in April this year.
Gov. Jose Enrique “Joen” Miraflores and Vice Gov. Reynaldo Boy Quimpo further assured to expand the scholarship program so that more underprivileged yet deserving Akeanon students could avail themselves of the program./PN
